One of the most challenging Camping trekking routes in Nepal, the Ganja La Pass Trekking is the closest adventurous trek to the Kathmandu Valley. Linked to the Langtang–Helambu trekking region, northeast of the Kathmandu Valley, the Ganja La Pass trek is also connected to the Upper Helambu Trek, the Langtang Trek, and the Gosainkund Trek. The Ganja La Pass trekking begins in Helambu (Sermathang). On the way to this trek, you can enjoy mesmerizing mountain ranges, snow-capped peaks, colourful rhododendrons, breathtaking waterfalls, Hyolmo culture, monasteries, stupas, pilgrimage sites, and much more. On your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, office staff will receive you and transfer you to a three star hotel around Thamel. After the rest, there is an evening introduction and detail briefing about the trek. After that you can explore the Thamel area, where you can see the combination of western and Nepali culture.

On the second day, we woke up early in the morning, and after breakfast, Our Guide took us to Buspark by taxi, and we moved to Sermathang by public bus. Public Bus can be crowded, stop at many places, and play loud music. On the way to Sermathang, we pass through Sankhu, Jarsing Pauwa, Melamchi Pul, Talamarang, Timbu, and many other places. Half of the trail goes through the banks of the Indravati River. Another half of the trail goes along the bank of the Bhemathang River. On the way, we can see different cultures, traditions, and village life. It took us around 6–7 hours to reach Sermathang, and our staff will set up the camp for you.

On the third day of our trekking, early in the morning after the breakfast, and started trekking to Chyomothang. On the first day of trekking, we cross the dense forest, and on the way there is an army camp where we have to register our entry. After a couple of hours of walking, we reached Chyomothynag. This place is located at 3179 meters above sea level. We will rest there for a short time, and after lunch we will move on to the short hike and a viewpoint, which is known as Aama Yangri Peak and is also the best place for a sunset view point. It is located at 3771 meters above sea level. Aama Yangri is also known as a protector goddess. People from the Buddhist community huge believe in Goddess Aama Yangri. After about an hour and a half of walking, we reached Aama Yangri Peak. This place is a perfect vantage point for the Himalayas, an amazing sunset, and a beautiful Helambu valley. After spending some time, we'll return to Chyomothang, where we'll set up camp for the night.

Dukpu is known for a place of Guru Padmasambhava. There is also a cave that is known as Guru Padmasambhava Cave. Every year, many Buddhist lama's visit there for meditation. This trek to Dukpu gradually goes upward through dense Rhododendron, pine trees, and many more. Chyomothang to Dukpu is approximately a 7–8-hour walk with amazing views of the Helambu valley and mesmerising views of mountains. Before reaching Dukpu, there is a pass called Thong-la Pass. On this route we can see many yak sheds in Dukpu. And we will also camp there overnight.

Trek to yangri khola is in long distance from Dukpu. Trek to Dukpu thoroughly goes many Ups and down with the dense of fauna flora and different lancdscapes. The route passes through the Keldang Phu and it is also known as a Yak Kharka. On summer days day locals bring their animals, and they saty around 5 to 6 months over there. Keldang Phu is a wide and flat valley and it is also a very good place for camping. After walking around 40 minutes walk from Keldang phu we will reach Yangri Khola. Its is also a flat and wide valley and there is also a river which is know Yangri Khola. Its is also a very good place for camping.From this place we can see The Ganjala Pass, Naya Khang peak and Ganjala Chuli as well.

Today we had a rest day for acclimatization. On the rest day, we hike around and ascend some 200/300m for acclimatization

Today is the hardest day of this trek, as we have to cross the Ganjala Pass, which is 5130m above sea level. And where we have to make a trail because there is no proper trail like in previous days. Today we walked only on the huge rock boulders, moraines, and some snowy and icy paths. So we wake up early in the morning, and after breakfast we will move slowly to the Ganjala pass, the trek going harder, and after a couple hours later we will be on the pass, and from there you can see the beautiful Langtang valley and an amazing view of the mountain range, and Mt. Dorje Lakpa and 8000m Sishapangma all the way to Tibet are just standing in front of our sight. After clicking some pictures, we moved down towards Basecamp. This side also, the trail is the same; we will move down carefully, and a couple of hours later, we’ll reach the basecamp, where we will set up camp for an overnight stay.

Basecamp to Langtang is a trek that only descends. We're close to the inhabited area. But it is also still an alpine zone. There, we can see different fauna and flora. By crossing the Langtang River, we reach Kyanjin Gompa. Kyanjin Village is a huge pastureland with Buddhist monasteries, stupas, and Buddhist culture, and after the earthquake, it is not less than a city where everything is available for the tourist. After resting a few times in Kyanjin, we moved down to Langtang village. Before the 2015 earthquake, this place had an amazing village with traditional houses. But unfortunately, the earthquake washed everything away. Now the locals built their house again, and they started to live there. So we also have an overnight stay in Langtang village.

On this day, we woke up early in the morning, and after breakfast, we moved down to the Sherpa Gaun. Trekking to Sherpa Gaun is a very smooth and easy trek. The trail goes up and down through the jungle of the different trees, and along with the Langtang River, mountains, hills, and Buddhist culture, a couple of hours later we reached a Sherpa village. After reaching Sherpa Gaun, you can find the motorway as well. This village is located 2563 m above sea level. In this village, you can see Sherpa culture and traditions.
Places: NKhangjim, Syabrubesi
Attraction: Buddhist Stupas, Monasteries, Temples, and Tamang Cultures; Fauna and Flora, Buddhist Culture; and many more

On this day, after breakfast, we moved down to Syabrubesi. The trek to Syabrubesi is very good, and this palace is a very developed place that is surrounded by hills. Today's trek goes leisurely through the hills and dense forest. In this place, you can explore Sherpa and Tamang cultures.
Places: Dhunche , Trisuli, Galchhi, and Thankot
Attractions: a wonderful view of Kathmandu Valley; all the cultures and traditions of Nepali from different regions; Fauna and flora; and many more.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch
On the last day of our trek, we rode the Jeep back to Kathmandu. It's going to take us 7 to 8 hours from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu. On this way, we can see the different hilly views, different lifestyles, and rustic villages along the Trishuli Riv

Accommodation:
During Ganja La Pass, the trek includes a hotel and tent in the cost. In Kathmandu, we provide a 3-star hotel with twin-sharing B/B rooms, but clients must pay for their lunch and dinner themselves. During the trek in Langtang Valley, we provide guest houses with twin-sharing beds and three meals a day. Also, during trekking in Sermathang, Chyomothang, Dukpu, Yangri Kharka, Ganja La Base Camp, and High Camp, a dome tent will be shared by two people. When camping, our staff will set up tents for our clients throughout the journey. However, as per our company policy, there will be an additional fee for a single supplement if someone wants a single room or tent.
Food:
In Kathmandu breakfast is included, but lunch and dinner are not. After Kathmandu, the entire trekking period will include breakfast, lunch, dinner, and two times (morning and evening) tea or coffee. Please let us know in advance if you are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free or lactose-free; we can make accommodations as you require.
Guides and Porters:
Your safety is our top priority, which is why we only use trekking guides who are government-licensed and have extensive expertise in the field. All our tour guides have a lot of experience, are excellent with people, and speak English fluently. Our guides and staff are dedicated to making your trek successful. Our guides will assist you if you run into any difficulties while trekking. Depending on the size of the group, there will be one guide and one assistant guide if there are more than four people in the group. Every two clients will have a porter to carry their luggage.
Fitness:
The high Himalaya make trekking in Nepal considerably more adventurous. And the Ganja La Pass Trek is a very adventurous pass trek; therefore, you should be in good physical and mental health. We would like to suggest that after planning your trek in Nepal, you start your morning walk and run for at least an hour each day; once a week, a day hike and regular indoor or outdoor climbing are other physical fitness activities that you can do.
Acclimatisation/Experience:
In the high Himalaya, it is necessary to let our bodies get used to the altitude. Our trip has acclimatisation days built into the itinerary. It is best to take it slowly to prevent altitude sickness. On average, expect to walk an average of 5–7 hours per day on trek.
Travel insurance:
Before undertaking the Ganja La Pass Trek, we highly advise purchasing Travel plus Search and Rescue Insurance. Although we do our best to look after you, unexpected things sometimes happen. It is best to obtain insurance in case of a medical emergency necessitating a helicopter evacuation. Make sure your insurance covers mishaps overseas and at altitude. Our business will provide accident and rescue insurance for our porters, employees and trekking guides.
As long as the change is submitted at least 60 days before the commencement of the tour, climbing Himalaya will let you adjust the dates of your trip.
If you cancel, let Climbing Himalaya know 30 days before departure, and you can transfer current funds to a future tour to avoid cancellation costs.
