Lhotse Expedition is one of the world’s highest peak expeditions in the Nepal Himalayas. Mt. LhoTse is located at the border of Tibet and Nepal at an elevation of 8,516m (27,940 ft). Lhotse means ‘South Peak’ because the mountain lies south of Everest and the name has been given by the Sherpas. On December 5, 1979, Lhotse Shar was first climbed by Sepp Mayerl and Rolf Walter by taking the South-east-ridge. It was not until May 23, 2001 that Lhotse Middle was conquered by the Russian Expedition: Eugeny Vinogradsky, Serguei Timofeev, Alexei Bolotov and Petr Kuznetsov. There may be many difficulties including high altitudes, harsh weather conditions and even sheer exhaustion and the summit is very sharp with no place to sit down. The most risky part of climbing Mt.
